Building base to success
Discover & Define
For a project to be successful we must create an accurate representation of the client’s requirements and aspirations. We conduct our research on the potential client and set up a meeting to develop the brief. During this stage we establish facts and ensure we understand all factors such as time-frame, budget, personal preferences of client, practical, functional and structural requirements. We then send to the client the brief as we understand it highlighting the current status of the space, what the client requires and desires and what is achievable. The design analysis is created by interpreting the detailed brief.
This is the first step in the creative development of the design and serves as the inspiration for the proposed scheme. We use inspirational abstract imagery before we include images of furniture, palettes of materials, styling and fabric cuttings to demonstrate the general feeling, style, colour and texture of the space on a mood board. Our concept designs also include floor plans illustrating the proposed furniture layouts and any structural changes that may be required.
We ensure we obtain approval for all of the concept designs before we progress to the design development and detail design stage. This stage entails a lot of planning and sourcing. All proposed items ranging from soft and hard furniture, final finishes and accessories will be presented to the client for approval. The client is then updated with a cost breakdown putting the agreed budget into consideration.
At the delivery stage, the work-plan will be outlined and agreed with client. With all onsite requirements met, works will commence according to agreed designs and specifications. The progress of the project will be documented and client will be updated regularly. Upon completion of project, we inspect the space with the client and ensure the client is happy and satisfied. A completion certification is then presented to the client for their final sign off on the project.
